Meet Angela. In September of 2017, tragedy struck her family when they lost their home to Hurricane Irma. They became homeless and, for a while, had to jump around to multiple hotels.
“I cannot express the emotional crisis and how this impacted our family unit,” Angela said.
A Ray of Hope appeared when someone referred her to Metropolitan Ministries.
“Your organization provided shelter, food, and case management at a very low period in my life.”
Thus began their journey back to self-sufficiency and stability. During their stay, Angela even received a scholarship and was able to re-enter her doctoral studies.
Angela’s story is just one of dozens of families whose lives were shattered by Hurricane Irma and Maria.
