You gave so much more than a backpack.Haircuts, face painting and books were available free for children. With your help, we served children and their families from across the Tampa Bay region.

With support from our caring community, we were able to accomplish the following:

  • 3,641 – children served on the MM campus
  • 1,391 – children served at an MM partner site (Pasco, Pinellas, Brandon)
  • 352 – rain checks issued (expected to serve these additional children next week)
  • 5,384 – total children served…if all “rain checks” are honored

God bless you.

August 14

August 14, 2010 - Metropolitan Ministries teamed up with Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO)
to provide children in need with Backpacks and School Supplies.

On average, ECHO serves about 100 children for back-to-school needs.  This year, as part of our
Compassion + Action Community Outreach Initiative and partnership, we were able
to serve over 400 children!

 Meet the "Shoe-Giver"
