MEDIA ADVISORY: Darcie Glaser Kassewitz-Bucs Rookie Club Visit MetroMin Youth

Darcie Glazer Kassewitz, Rookie Buccaneers Players Visit Kids
at Metropolitan Ministries for Fall Festival hosted by LAMPLighters

WHAT:     Glazer Family Foundation Co-President Darcie Glazer Kassewitz and the 2016 Buccaneers Rookie Club, including Vernon Hargreaves III, Noah Spence, and Peyton Barber, along with Buccaneers Cheerleaders and Captain Fear will continue the team’s tradition of supporting homeless and at-risk youths at the Metropolitan Ministries annual Fall Festival. For more than 20 years, the Buccaneers have served as special guests for the yearly event, a brain child of the LAMPLighters (Ladies Assisting Metropolitan People), who host the festival for the resident children at Metropolitan Ministries. On Tuesday afternoon, the Buccaneers will entertain and interact with the Ministries’ children through games, dancing, arts and crafts, and more.

We continue to be grateful for our ongoing partnership with the Buccaneers and are honored to host Darcie’s first visit to our campus.  Her leadership and heartfelt vision to connect on a deeper level with families and children from all walks of life in our community is truly inspiring.

The historical focus of the LAMPLighters organization has been to support the children and families in residence at Metropolitan Ministries. The Fall Festival is one of four events they host each year.

The Festival provides lots of fun, and most of all, a renewed sense of hope for our children.

WHEN:     November 8th, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
