HELP FEED SOMEONE
Food is a basic need that most of us take for granted, but 1 in 4 American children are at risk of hunger. Metropolitan Ministries provides both hot meals and non-perishable foods to hundreds of people each day in four counties. Here is how you can provide HOPE in our community:
Non-Perishable Foods
Everyday between 80 to 200 Boxes of Hope are provided to homeless and low-income families. These non-perishable foods will feed a family of four for two days. Help us provide Boxes of Hope to families in need. See a list of our most urgent needs: Boxes of Hope, Most Needed Items
- Donate non-perishable foods to Metropolitan Ministries
- Host a Food Drive in your community
- Donate $35 to Metropolitan Ministries for the cost of one Box of Hope. Donate Online through our secure server, or mail checks to 2002 N. Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL 33602
Hot Meals
Over 12,000 people depend on Metropolitan Ministries to provide a hot, nutritious meal each week. See our current needs: Meal Site Menu, Heart Healthy Menu
- Visit your local wholesale club and purchase large sized food items for our kitchen
- Donate large 10 lbs can of vegetables, beans, and other food staples
- Donate large portions of fresh vegetables for our residence
