Maintaining Self-Sufficiency

Community of Promise prepares families to leave the Ministries. It is important to help them keep their momentum by providing ongoing support that enables transitioning families to make their own positive life choices through supportive connections and networks.

Activities include:

  • Volunteer work at the Ministries and other community organizations
  • Encouragement and guidance from other families who have successfully returned to self-sufficient life through our alumni network and activities
  • Assistance in connecting with resources in their neighborhood to help maintain their self-sufficiency
  • Encouragement to become leaders in their communities
