Holiday Assistance

We understand that the holiday season can add an extra burden and stress on your family. To help ease this burden and make the holidays a season of hope, we can help provide a holiday food box and turkey for Thanksgiving and Christmas. You can also receive new toys and gifts for your children.

Please note there are eligibility requirements, which are listed below.

When you come to register for holiday assistance, you will meet with a compassionate and trained staff member or volunteer ready to assist you (and your family).

Registration dates are September 4, 2007- November 9, 2007 for Thanksgiving assistance.  November 12, 2007-December 7, 2007 for Christmas assistance. 

To register, please come to 2301 North Tampa Street in Tampa, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.  * Please be advised that our office closes at 5 p.m. We recommend you arrive early to ensure you have ample time to meet with one of our counselors.  If you work and cannot make it during our normal business hours, please see information below about special registration times.

Eligible families include:

• Families with children under the age of 18 (includes single-parent, two-parent, and grandparents raising their grandchildren.)
• Individuals who receive SSI or SSD or SS Retirement
• Individuals over the age of 60

Please bring the following items with you to register:

1. Photo ID
2. Social Security cards or birth certificates for all members of the family
3. Proof of address (such as a utility bill, rent receipt, lease; please note that a driver’s license NOT accepted as a proof of address)
4. Proof of SSI or SSD paperwork (if applicable)
5. Referral from a service provider (if applicable)
