Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Metropolitan Ministries!

Compassionate and generous volunteers are the very heart of the Ministries’ efforts to provide faithful answers for poor and homeless families.

There are many ways for you and your family, congregation, school, business and/or civic group to help change lives. We offer an array of volunteer opportunities to match your skills, interests and schedule with our mission.

Whether you are looking for on-going, short term or group volunteer opportunities, you are sure to find a way to help at Metropolitan Ministries.

Volunteers should be

• 18 years of age and older OR
• 16-17 years old with parental permission (form provided by the Ministries) OR
• 12-15 years old with adult supervision

Youth volunteer groups, ages 12-17, need at least one adult supervisor per five youth.

(Note: Special family volunteer opportunities may be available.)

To become a volunteer at Metropolitan Ministries:

1. Review the many volunteer opportunities we offer
2. Submit our on-line volunteer application
3. Once your application is received, a Ministries staff member will contact you within 48 hours to schedule a personal interview.
4. During the intterview process, you will become familiar with our campus and our volunteer opportunities that meet your interests and availability.
