JESSICA BECKER
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Hours – Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Call Jessica – 813-209-1067
E-mail Jessica – jessica.becker@metromin.org
From – Town 'n' Country (Tampa), Florida
Random Facts – I love reading…it goes with the whole “English major” territory. I have a 6 foot bookcase that covers one wall and it’s already completely full (and there are still more books in my house!) I love Jesus and I’m a passionate person—I laugh and cry all the time…often concurrently. I love writing, chocolate, scarves, dancing, and playing my drum…although not necessarily in that order. If I could describe in one word how I ended up at Metropolitan Ministries as a Volunteer Coordinator, it would be the word “grace”. I’ve been through some hard times and much pain and hurting, but I fully believe what my mother’s always told me: God does not waste our pain. It’s my desire to use my life experiences and passion to serve the hurting and lost people of the Tampa Bay area.

BETTY PALIOS
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
E-mail Betty– betty.palios@metromin.org
Call Betty– 813-209-1045
Hours – Tuesday-Friday 8:30-4:30, Saturday 8:00-4:00
Random Facts– I'm excited to help you volunteer and give back to your community. A lifelong Tampanian, I also enjoy long runs on the beach, being artsy-craftsy, camping, hiking, biking, cooking, reading, playing with my dog Rocky Balboa, and hanging out with my large extended family. I love working at the Ministries as it provides an outlet for my commitment to social justice issues and finding solutions to poverty. I'm also an active member of St. John Greek Orthodox Church.

SCOTT BEDROSIAN
DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEER SERVICES
Hours – Monday-Friday 7:30-5:30
Call Scott – 813-209-1251
E-mail Scott – scott.bedrosian@metromin.org
From – Hawthorne, California (home of the Beach Boys)
School – Arizona State University
Favorite Bible Verse – Psalms 73:25 - "Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You."
Random Facts – I retired from the US Air Force in 2009 and joined the Volunteer Team shortly thereafter. I'm in the midst of a 20-year honeymoon with my wife, Lisa, and have eight children (yes, that's not a typo) still mooching off me living at home. My ideal Saturday would include dinner with my wife at Duke's of Kauai or the Chart House in Sausalito followed by sitting on the beach watching the waves and listening to a Dodger's game on the radio. Unfortunately, I now spend most of my Saturdays fixing broken toys, saving for college, and fighting for the remote control.

DOUG MAY
VOLUNTEER
Hours – Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Call Doug– 813-209-1237
E-mail Doug– doug.may@metromin.org
From – Port St. Joe, FL
Random Facts – I'm the newest member of the Volunteer Team--I moved to Tampa about a month ago. In my free time I love to fish, hunt, swim, go out in the boat, get sunburnt at the beach, catch up with old friends and make new ones. Growing up in a small town like Port St. Joe taught me many things, but one thing that sticks out is this: it just takes one man or woman to make a difference. That's the message I want to send to other volunteers here--every time you volunteer, you are making a huge impact in someone else's life.
