Year-Round Volunteer Opportunities

What is the easiest way to give back?  How can you share hope with a family who desperately needs it?  Give the gift of your time.  Everyday, there is a client or family you can serve by becoming a volunteer at Metropolitan Ministries.  Volunteer as an individual, with a group, or as a family.

How you can help by volunteering your time to others:

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Kitchen- Metropolitan Ministries prepares and serves over 12,500 meals a week!  Assist with food preparation and serve our on-site families and meal site partners.
Metro Market- Stock and shop the Metro Market where our families shop for their Box of Hope.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN AND FAMILIES
Academy- Mentor and interact with children and teens from the Metropolitan Ministries Academy in after school and evening activities.

PromiseLand- Play games, rock babies, help with snack and lunchtime while watching resident and community infants and toddlers in our day care center.

Family Care Center
- Volunteers assist adults working on their GED.  Assist in our Uplift U® Residential Program by working along-side counselors, nutritionists, and pastors of different communities to instill self-sufficency within residents.

LEND A HELPING HAND
Help provide a safe and secure residence and campus for the approximately 140 people residing on our campus and the 100-150 individual who visit us daily by helping with day-to-day maintenance including minor carpentry, minor plumbing, painting, and supplies pick-up.

MINISTRY MESSENGER
Become a Ministry Messenger by joining our Speakers Bureau.  Share your volunteer experience and our message of Hope within your own community.  Be the voice of our families and share our mission with others.
