Metropolitan Ministries partnered with Hillsborough County Children’s Board to provide free educational services to members of the community who find themselves in the need of support.  

What we offer

Parenting Classes – We offer classes ranging from infant care to handling children struggling with trauma. Click here for a list of classes that are currently available. 

Child Developmental Screening – We offer free at-home developmental screening for children ages 0-5.  If you would like your child to participate in this free assessment, please fill out the survey here.  Or, if you would like to speak to a child advocate, email us at education@metromin.org. 

Early Childhood Literacy Program – Parent Child Home Program, (PCHP), a national early learning program for children aged two to three years old, this program aids under-resourced parents or guardians by providing Early Literacy Specialists. We help develop children’s early literacy and early learning skills by offering encouragement for parents and preparing children for school readiness and life success.  If you would like your child to participate in this program or become an Early Learning Literacy Specialists, fill out a request form here
