Using SNAP benefits online
The Food Assistance Program, also known as SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), is a program that helps low-income families buy healthy food. SNAP allows families to purchase items like bread, cereal, vegetables, fruit, and meat.
Recently the SNAP program has expanded to offer online ordering through their Economic Self-Sufficiency or ACCESS Program.
This allows eligible families to order groceries for pick up or delivery (if delivery is available at your location) with a few clicks of a button.
You can purchase online grocery orders with your EBT card on Walmart.com and Amazon.com.
This new feature will allow families to skip making the traditional trip to the grocery store in favor of online ordering, which is a safe and convenient option during the COVID-19 crisis.
