We believe in the power of love

We have witnessed the senseless loss of black lives and social injustice. We have taken the time to listen to our staff, clients, and members of our community from all walks of life. We are filled with emotion over the trauma, pain, and sorrow expressed by our staff.

Above all, our witness will be to the power of love in healing broken lives and building strong, caring communities.

As we start our new fiscal year, we reflected on our staffs’ comments 30 days ago. With their permission, we share this recording of our June 2 meeting at Metropolitan Ministries. We are sharing this with you because we believe in the power of love at Metropolitan Ministries and know that we can only grow stronger as a community when we listen to each other.

It is in Christ’s love for all that we serve our community today and every day. Our vision statement proclaims, “above all, our witness will be to the power of love in healing broken lives and building strong, caring communities.” More than any other time in our nearly 50-year history, we will be guided by our mission and vision to spread hope.
