Molly James, Chief Executive Officer,
Metropolitan Ministries Foundation

Molly James serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Metropolitan Ministries Foundation. She leads the Ministries’ planned giving program and nurtures relationships in the community on behalf of the Ministries.

Prior to joining Metropolitan Ministries’ development staff in 2019 as Senior Vice President of Advancement and Community Engagement, Molly served on the Metropolitan Ministries Board of Directors and chaired the strategic planning committee. She has previously worked at the Community Foundation of Tampa Bay helping philanthropic families with their charitable plans. Molly has also held Director of Development positions with the Dali Museum and the Tampa Museum of Art. She currently serves on the Boards of Love IV Lawrence, The Spring of Tampa Bay, and the James Museum.

Molly and her husband Hunt have lived in South Tampa since 1994 and have two children, Maddie (25 years) and Miles (22 years). She is a member of the Athena Society, LAMPLighters, and Charitable Gift Planners of Tampa Bay. Molly also serves as an ambassador for her alma mater, Emory University.
