GIFTS, CONFLICTS OF INTEREST AND BRIBES POLICY

Suppliers and other outside individuals may offer board members, officers, directors, employees, interns and volunteers price reductions, memberships, trips, or other items as consideration for giving favorable treatment to their products or services. This is a conflict of interest. Gifts are not to be accepted by any board member, officer, director, employee, intern or volunteer from any supplier, potential supplier, or government agency, except gifts with a value of less than $25 offered in a customary manner such as during recognized holidays.

Gifts of appreciation are often provided by donors to staff and clients. These shall be awarded by the Human Resources Department or Executive Office as deemed appropriate.
