Our Holiday Tent assistance program is a tradition in Tampa Bay. We expect to serve 30,000 families in need this Thanksgiving and Christmas. To receive help or get involved, choose from the options below.
Get Help
Do you need help for the holidays? This year we are offering fully online and in-person registration. While on our website, your family will have the option to sign up for convenient locations to receive Hope. To mitigate additional travel we are partnering with strategic like-minded organizations to offer more sites across Tampa Bay.
Volunteering
This holiday season, join the Metropolitan Ministries team and provide a holiday experience that is out of reach for so many struggling families in the Tampa Bay area. We are looking for dedicated volunteers to take part in a unique leadership opportunity that you don’t want to miss!

You can provide real, practical help for families in need right now with your purchase through our holiday store, hosting a virtual or traditional drive, shopping our gift registries, or giving a monetary donation.
Most Needed Items
Frozen turkeys, hams, cereal, canned yams, bagged or boxed stuffing, and cranberry sauce are the most-needed items right now. Bagged or canned beans, soup, bags of rice, boxed or canned potatoes, gravy packets, dessert mixes, canned fruit, canned vegetables, boxed macaroni & cheese are also in high demand.
