A supportive housing solution for families who were formerly homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless

The off-campus properties owned and operated by Metropolitan Ministries serve as a stepping-stone for families who graduate from the Ministries’ self-sufficiency program and families in need of affordable housing—as a way to foster independent living and home ownership.

The Sanctuary at Waters is a model collaborative quality housing project identified as a “critical need” by the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County, and the Homeless Coalition of Hillsborough County.  The townhomes were developed in 2009 by Metropolitan Ministries and over 70 community partners in direct response to the growing need for affordable housing in the Tampa Bay community.

Our campuses in Tampa and Holiday currently have 12 units as part of our affordable housing program. The need for affordable housing is at an all-time high in Tampa Bay, and Metropolitan Ministries is seeking solutions as to how we, along with community partners, can help with this ongoing problem.

Some of the properties we have acquired have been donated by generous donors like you. If you have a single family home, duplexes, apartments, or other properties you wish to donate, contact us at 813.209.1000.
